What commercial electric vehicles are available in Ukraine?
Commercial electric vehicles. The domestic electric car market, albeit at a slow pace, is still developing, because electric cars are the future of the planet.
And the full-scale Russian invasion, which provoked Western sanctions and the refusal of Russian energy resources, only accelerates the process of transition to ecological transport not only by individuals, but also by legal entities. Therefore, more and more manufacturers, including premium brands, are developing environmentally friendly passenger and commercial electric vehicles with a fully electric drive. Some of it is also delivered to Ukraine.
Electric commercial transport radically reduces the cost of freight transportation and does not pollute the environment with exhaust gases. Despite the crazy advantages of electric transport, the Ukrainian market of electric commercial vehicles for business today has a limited choice, but it is gradually supplemented by interesting electric cars from Chinese, European, and even American manufacturers.

Line of commercial electric vehicles Renault
- Renault electric commercial vehicles are represented in Ukraine by three models, which have some differences:
Renault Master ZE model: offered on the Ukrainian market in three different lengths and two height options. The car can have a cargo compartment in the form of a van or platform (pickup). Renault Master ZE is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 75 horsepower, which is capable of developing a speed of 100 km/h. On one charge, the range is 120 km. Battery charging time is approximately 6 hours. - Renault D ZE electric truck is designed for 11 tons of tonnage. The model is offered in two length options: with a wheelbase of 4.4 m and 5.3 m. The car is equipped with an electric motor that develops 250 horsepower and a two-speed gearbox. Renault D ZE is equipped with a rather powerful battery with a capacity of 200 or 300 kWh. The range of the battery with a capacity of 300 kWh is 300 kilometers. The battery is fully charged in 12 hours.
- Renault D Wide ZE commercial vehicle with a wheelbase of 3.9 meters, designed to transport goods weighing up to 11 tons. The electric truck is equipped with two electric motors with a total capacity of 500 horsepower. The battery capacity is 200 kWh. You can drive up to 120 km without recharging. Battery charging time – 8 hours.
Commercial electric truck JAC N55EV
The electric commercial vehicle JAC N55EV (an analogue of the N56 diesel truck) fit quite well into the urban infrastructure. The electric car is equipped with a fully electric engine with a capacity of 178 hp. with a nominal torque of 415 Nm and a peak torque of 1200 Nm. The electric car is capable of accelerating to 90 km/h (in 8 seconds it reaches a speed of 50 km/h). The 97kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery is charged to 80% in about two hours with 120kW fast charging. JAC N55EV commercial electric vehicles travel a distance of 210 kilometers on a single charge. The carrying capacity of the car is slightly more than 2 tons. Cargo body – 4500×2550 mm.
The manufacturer paid great attention to the safety and comfort of the car driver: an on-board computer, a smart multimedia system, climate control, parking radars, a rear view camera, etc. are installed.
Electric truck HOWO EV
Last year, the SINOTRUK HOWO EV electric truck became available for the Ukrainian market. An electric car with a gross weight of 7.5 tons and a carrying capacity of about 5 tons. The truck’s electric engine produces a power of 150 kW and develops a torque of 320 Nm. HOWO EV commercial electric vehicles are equipped with 100 kW batteries, which can be charged to 80% in 2 hours thanks to fast charging. The HOWO EV electric truck can travel 200 kilometers without recharging, which allows the car to be used in urban and intercity transportation.
HOWO EV electric vehicles are equipped with air conditioners, on-board computers, multi-function steering wheel, central locking with remote control, fog lights, etc. The cost of a new HOWO EV truck today is about $58,000.
Electric truck WULING CARGO MINI EV
Wuling electric truck (jointly produced by SAIC and General Motors) with a total curb weight of 3.5 tons and a useful tonnage of 1.5 tons, which allows drivers with category “B” licenses to drive the vehicle.
The truck’s electric motor produces a maximum power of 60 kW and a torque of 220 N*m. The car battery is fully charged in 1.5 hours due to fast charging. The new truck travels 300 kilometers on one charge.
The truck chassis is equipped with a convenient loading platform with folding sides more than three meters long and more than two meters wide. The Wuling electric truck has a comfortable cabin designed for two: a driver and a passenger. The cabin has everything you need for a safe and comfortable trip: on-board computer, climate control, electric windows, parking radar, etc.

Passenger 7-seater minivan DONGFENG EC36
A Chinese electric car with a spacious interior that can be used to transport cargo by removing the seat. The rear-wheel drive minivan is equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 41.86 kWh, an electric motor with a capacity of 60 kW and a range of 300 kilometers. The electric car accelerates to 100 km/h.
The commercial vehicle DONGFENG EC36 is economical, quite comfortable and safe (air conditioning systems, ABS, EBD, rear parktronic, central locking, headlight height adjustment).
The price of the car is from $15,000, depending on the configuration.
Commercial electric car BYD V3
This is a small minibus for commercial transportation and delivery of cargo around the city, suburbs, and district. The compact and light BYD V3 is equipped with an electric motor with a power of 75 kW and a torque of 220 Nm, capable of developing a speed of 90 km/h. The car is equipped with a battery with a capacity of 47.52 kWh, which provides a range of up to 330 km without recharging.
BYD V3 has a luggage compartment with swing doors with a usable volume of 5.2 m³. Loading such a trunk is simple and easy, thanks to the low lift. Useful options include electric windows, central locking, on-board computer, air conditioning, large mirrors, etc.
The price tag for the BYD V3 electric minibus starts at $24,000.
